Hera altar is my 2021 digital construction built at high resolution. It is my updated version of the queen of the gods, Hera. She is shown here using digital photography, flame, fractal and painting software. This tattooed goddess reigns over her other-worldly home. We ask what she is doing, why is she tattooed like that and just where is she? A vague, dream-like altar places her in a position of reverence, respect and awe. Pulled towards her beauty, we are stopped by her lack of expression or emotion. Reproductions are available at different sizes and surfaces here.
