These images represent the latest in my evolving exploration of digital space. I started doing heptagon mandalas over a decade ago and have found great solace in their creation and observation. The heptagon is a seven sided polygon. The number seven is found throughout human history in many forms of expression many aligned with sacred and rare events. Heptagons are rare in nature and considered unique. The heptagon cannot be constructed using the geometer tools, pencil, compass and straight edge but computers have given us a way to make heptagons easily. I explore the amazing world of changing coordinate systems and symmetry to create the forms which along with color gradients results in the final image. I have spent many hours starring at the images as they took shape and always feel relaxed and renewed from the process. The hours of pleasure obtained in the creation of my art leads me to sharing my work with others.
