Inspired by the greatest masterpiece of painter Jean Honoré Fragonard, this 18th century work perfectly echoes the notion of a couple as we can experience it. To express the symbolism of this painting, I will rely on a famous thought by Oscar Wilde who said “the couple is one but which one”
Indeed, sometimes you have to step aside for the benefit of the other to allow the couple to flourish, some will see the constraint of being linked, others will see the beauty of union and altruism…
The depth, contrast and management of light are particularly well transcribed in this work. Sale in printed version on Dibond (aluminum plate) numbered and signed. A certificate of authenticity will accompany the work. Several sizes available on request
