Paintings by Allan J. Wash have been accepted for exhibition this December at the: Salon 2010 La Societe Nationale des Beaux Arts to be held in the Paris Louvre
Societe Nationale des Beaux Arts, founded in 1861 by Louis Martinet and Theophile Gautier, and then refounded in 1890 around Messonier of Puvis de Chavanne. The quarrels of strong personalities and squabbles led the demerger of several companies of artists.
Encouraged by the Minister of Culture, a company known as «Historical Shows» were reconciled around a common living room at the Grand Palais and the National Society of Fine Arts joined them in 2006. But his presence at the Grand Palais remains on the sidelines of the annual event it organizes in the Salle Le Nôtre at the Carrousel du Louvre where snba highlights the multiplicity of trends in contemporary art and vitality.
