All this fuss has little to do with art. The result is a special promotion that particularly benefits the speculators of all stripes who traffic around artists such as Mc Carthy and their works.
Regarding the vandalism of two things: one, or it is a challenge that any expressed by the violence, or it is a publicity stunt succeeded those who benefits from the crime.
I think we have the right to think that the current huge traffics on some artist being part of the privileged elite of the art is outrageous.
I think we also have the right to think that McCarthy is a mediocre artist and unimaginative account of the scandal publicized to earn a pittance smelly; while a large number of artists in value are condemned as Vincent was, not living from their art.
Thank you to ArtQuid allow an artist and art critic like me to express an opinion only of the author.
