As far back as I can remember!

Maria Dolores Fernandez Posted: may 6, 2011 / Modified: may 6, 2011
As far back as I can remember! I already liked drawing in primary school, was my favorite class and there I was recuperating easy points! Then the vagaries of life we forget me!

My passion was revealed to me on a family holiday, we were in Italy at a club and there was a course in silk painting and as I do not bask in the sun all day while my husband and my son did the ... Thus I remembered my childhood and my adolescence in school and what I felt when I was drawing or painting. I was in another dimension, nothing else mattered. I was in!

I decided to go home during my leisure time and little by little it does enough for me more. That's how I landed in a Belgian painter, through his neighbor, who taught and who kindly accept me once a week. I already had my children 46 years and 8.9 and 11 years and I was still working.

The first time with my teacher, he has set before me a small canvas, a brush, paint with oil and a small black and white picture (cut from an old magazine) and said, "Go go! He sat behind me and watched me get by me alone .... And I was there! It was a landscape in the distance the blue sky, the horizon line, a water, trees and banks at the front. I still remember what he said before starting, "you begin by what is far away, and you go back toward the front of your canvas, and especially you observe and paint what you you really see. " Since then I wear a different look at what I see, I see things I could not see before. My way of seeing, perceiving and feeling changed. He branded as impressionistic.

I still remember when I brought my first painting completed at home, my children have watched the canvas, then looked at me with an expression of surprise on their faces said, "it is you who did it? "I felt they could no longer recognize their mother. They were amazed! They did not know any of their mom.

When I paint I can not hear what was happening around me or when I hear, I forget to eat, drink and can spend a whole day without stopping and when I stop I felt like I wake up. Sometimes I hold my breath in a very precise brushwork, to blow me and talk to myself. I forget everything, I am where I am .... No stress, no problems, no worries ... ...

I prefer the old stones, color positive light. These are the colors that I carry, make me vibrate, fill me with joy or sadness. This all leads me to continue and try other techniques. For now my passion and watercolor is not easy ... ... But yes it is I who do it!
