Long story. I will try to make it short. I grew up in a small country town in rural Australia called Oberon - 3 hours west of Sydney and a long way from anything. No Cinema, no McDonalds, no Wi-Fi! Imagine that. Just a lot of kangaroos. I am not formally trained in the arts but I did learn briefly when I was in High School in nearby mining town Lithgow. My teacher was Mr Boarden. I remember he had the best sound system and he would blast Highway 61 Revisited and Slow Train Coming (he was a religious man). Fast forward to the present day - I have drifted around the world and have just moved to France after spending 6 years in England. I take inspiration from anything that inspires me. I never know what that might be, nonetheless - I am open to everything. Inspiration arrives in many ways, but is mostly to do with everyday life, how relationships work or something that I hear and how it subsequently plants an image in my mind. I have found that I prefer simplicity in life and a ‘less is more’ type of approach. There is beauty in simplicity. I am sure somebody said that. This is what I try to capture.
