I painted this picture for a dear person for her birthday. It is a woman who over the years has drawn strength from deep within herself. A strength of which, I think, she is often not even aware. She functions for her task. But it is much more than that. She is a person who listens, who sees.
I hope I have been able to work all the beauty of her whole being into this picture. I hope that everyone who will look at this picture will recognise her as I see her. She is a beautiful woman. She is a strong woman.
