The Art of… «Indigen
A series on indigenous people is currently being created. Portraits of tribal members of an indigenous people. This series will fill a small exhibition of its own (if I find something adequate in Berlin).
The series will probably comprise 10 to 15 works, graded in the age of the portrayed and 2 or X pictures of the surroundings.
What fascinates me about indigenous people? Their attitude to life and their connection to nature. Their life in harmony with the planet. They create art. Art they make with their hands and art on their bodies. Indigenous people are colours and overdrawings for me. To a well-fed person, they seem retarded at first glance. And yet they are often further ahead in many ways than industrial societies. Indigenous people live their lives and their society. It is a hard life, but a free one.
