Since ancient times, the mosaic mural was used mode of decoration for many living rooms and garden landscaping job. In the early 1900s, Art Nouveau period, the Spanish architect Antonio Gaudi has innovated a new form of this art based on using shards of tile. With this new technique called trencadis (freeloader in French) he made, among others, the decoration of the famous Parc Güell in Barcelona. Apart from his disciples in the Catalan (Josep Maria Jujol) this style has also moved into the region of Valencia or a few artists create today.
While touring this beautiful Spanish community, I was arrested numerous works, both by technology and by the decorative effect. So I took the game. |
