Some information about the painter.
Pascal Russi, self-taught painter, began painting in gouache in 1984, more seriously in 1985. A serious illness followed by a few physical scars left Hémyplégie and chronic headaches, very distressing, allowed him to understand that some things will never be the same, despite a willingness foolproof to face the future. Disease and painting have become inseparable from each other, it's night in particular that draws its inspiration, because the pain always there often prevent lead a more settled. His entourage has had many opportunities to see his character well planted, but fair. It applies to seize the positive side of any situation in life and so it continues to build and live. By 1996, he learned a new technique of painting: gouache after he tried his hand at oil painting. His early paintings were hard if not aggressive, the color palette used was explosive, thus marking its internal revolt, buried deep inside him for years. It was easier, if one may say in this way to express themselves with this technique. At its first exhibition at the Hospital of Sierre in 1998, it has not been easy to unfold in the paintings presented. But what a challenge! Fortunately as the years passed, the colors are always present, but worked differently, with less violence, more contrast and blends, in short more reds, blues and a few canvases soothing colors. Several exhibitions followed Raccard At Winter St - Luc 98-99. A gallery of CArray in Martigny, Collective, 1999 At Pleasure Eye Sierre, Collective, 01.2002 Expo.
